Will 2NE1 'Crush' Girls' Generation In 'All Or Nothing' Battle? Billboard Highlights February 24 Release Date For Both Album Comebacks!

As the two biggest K-pop girl groups in the world, 2NE1 and Girls' Generation will be releasing two new albums on February 24—"Crush" and "
Mr.Mr.," respectively.
And while Girls' Generation has already released a music video teaser for their comeback single "
Mr.Mr.," 2NE1 fans are still waiting for their own single and music video.
According to Billboard, "Crush" will drop on February 24, along with a teaser for the music video of the yet-to-be-announced single.
The single will then have its music video release on February 28, with reportedly "the largest budget for the group" at $470,000.
This is a slightly different tactic from Girls' Generation, who will release the music video for "
Mr.Mr." on February 19, ahead of the album release.
It's hard to tell whether this is intentional, but everyone is anticipating the epic music chart war that will descend upon K-pop when 2NE1 and Girls' Generation release their albums at the same time.
Recently, 2NE1 has received a lot of worldwide attention, including a recent guest star appearance on popular ABC reality series "The Bachelor" and a new endorsement for CL with Maybelline New York.
Crush is the second studio album of South Korean girl group 2NE1. The album will be released on February 26, 2014, by YG Entertainment. It is the group's second full length album since To Anyone and first full musical release since 2011's 2NE1. The album is mainly produced by Teddy with contributions from Choice 37, G-Dragon, DEE.P, Masta Wu, PK and Peejay. The group's leader, CL, contributed to the album by composing and producing three song including a solo track for herself.[1] Musically, the album is classified as pop, with elements of R&B, dance, hip hop and reggae.
Since 2012, 2NE1 has been working on the follow-up to 2011's 2NE1 mini album. The album has been pushed back on multiple occasions due to various circumstances including touring.
On January 15, 2014, The poster for the group's All or Nothing World Tour was released on YG Life with hints about a new album.[2] It was further elaborated on in a post on February 13. The post revealed that CL had composed three songs (one solo and two for the group) on this album. The album will be comprised of a total of 10 songs with each being new songs outside of Korean version of Scream. YG hinted at solo tracks for the other members as well as another 2NE1 album and Cl's solo album.[1]
With the A teaser video will be unveiled first on February 24, and then a completed version on February 28. One of the music video of 2NE1’s double title song, which is said to have the largest budget for the group's career due to the amount for computer graphics
2NE1’s second full album will be released digitally on February 27 at 12 midnight with the physical version being released on March 7.[4] The album was to be originally released on February 24[5] before being pushed back to coincide with CL's birthday.[4]
The group will have double title tracks. "Come Back Home",produced by Teddy and PK, is described as a song about a lost lover with R&B, reggae and hip hop influences while "Gotta Be You" is equipped with a popular appeal and the melody of the main part in which Minzy and Bom cries ‘GOTTA BE YOU’ leaves a very strong impression. Two music videos for "Come Back Home" will be released on February 28 along a videos for "Gotta Be You" and "Happy" soon to follow.[4]
Prior to the release of the album, a group of 21 fans will preview the album at a private listening party.[6] The company revealed that the new songs will be performed for the first time at the opening dates for their world tour in Seoul,South Korea on March 1 and 2.

Details on 2NE1’s titles song?
As this is the first full album released for the first time after several years,
we are ambitious to showcase as many songs as we can,
but since we are at a point where careful selection and focus are required,
we chose two songs for double title songs.
2NE1’s first title song is “COME BACK HOME.”
Many of you would be reminded of the mega-hit “COME BACK HOME”
released by Seotaeji and Boys in 1995,
but 2NE1’s upcoming track is a completely different,
filled with melody and lyrics about yearning for the long-gone lover.
This is a joint work of YG’s main producer TEDDY and other producers,
which encompasses a crossover mixture of R&B, reggae and hip-hop.
The noteworthy feature of the 2nd album is the unplugged version of “COME BACK HOME.”
The two different versions are greatly different from each other,
so we produced two music videos for both songs, which will be released on February 28th simultaneously.
The second title song “GOTTA BE YOU”, a joint work by YG’s producers TEDDY and PK,
is a fast-paced song that leaves an impact through MINZY and BOM’s powerful cry of “Gotta Be You.”
We made the decision to make this the second title song as it has an impression of mainstream taste.
How many music videos will be produced for the 2nd album?
A total of four music videos will be showcased this time.
As mentioned earlier, the two versions of “COME BACK HOME” music videos
will be released simultaneously on February 28th,
and the other double title song “GOTTA BE YOU” will come next,
and the music video of a song titled “HAPPY” filmed in the U.S. will follow.
The track list of 2NE1’s 2nd album will be released today at 10pm.

2NE1 already had a huge success with their first World Tour “NEW EVOLUTION” in 2012 as the first female group in Korea. On March 1 and 2 their 2nd one “AON” kicks off in Seoul Songpagu Olympic Park SK Handball Arena. They will then be joined by 200,000 fans in 9 countries across 12 cities including Hong Kong, Singapore and Yokohama through 15 concerts.
Fans have high expectations as 2NE1 unveiled 3 songs “FALLING IN LOVE”, “DO YOU LOVE ME”, and “MISSING YOU”, along with CL’s “THE BADDEST FEMALE”. But what’s more, world famous directors Travis Payne and Stacey Walker, who joined them in the first Tour, will again work with them for a quality World Tour.
